STORY BEHIND ESTABLISHMENT  :-

 Aniruddha Prashad Singh , a person from a peasant family has been the founder of this organization . Than he as a student of class IX , the evening , standing on the bank of river “DARBHASAU”, he took a vow , “I will not join any service, when I get my education completed , I will serve my native land by always and means“ . He did not join any service , purchased a piece of land at katoria and founded
"MUKTI NIKETAN"
on January 21,1985. Then it was katoria , just in the southern side of katoria a solitary place 2 kms away from - sultanganj road. Katoria belongs to Bhagalpur District at that time. Banka was separated in 1992 and now it belongs to Banka in Bihar. Since its inception till date, the journey of development of the organisation , has been a ceaseless stuggle against odds. At the same time it has been the greatest matter of content that is has been able to a address the causes of people it intended.  

CHANGE OF SECRETARY :-

Aniruddha Prasad Singh, the ‘founder – Secretary’ willingly resigned in November 2015 and Sri CHIRANJEEVA KUMAR Singh was anonymously elected the new secretory.

EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURE  :-

ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING:-

It is a three storey building nearly 200’ long and 25’ wide. The administrative office and the patron’s residence exists on the half side of th ground floor. All the three storeys of the eastern part has been given to the Ambedkar Avashiya Balika Uchcha Vidyalaya Domuhan run by the Welfare Deptt, Govt. Of Bihar.The first floor has been the residential cmplex of Women stafs and Girls. The 2nd floor has been the office and class rooms of ‘Pratibha Bhaskar Vidyalaya’ up to class VIII run by the organisation.

COLLEGE CAMPUS:-

In the organisational campus itself there has been the bounded “Mahatma Gandhi Shikshak Parikshan Mahavidyalaya” Approved by NCTE, Bhubneshwar and Affiliated under Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) , Bhagalpur building well-furnished and well- decorated two storeyed one. Classes for B.Ed and D.El.Ed. students go smoothly in this building. There have been one Principal Chamber , Eight class rooms, one conference-hall , one girl’s common room, one Boy’s common room , seperate kitchen , Dinning hall , 6 staff rooms, one Library , one computer Lab , 6 Laboratries , one store , Sport,s room , Music Room , Crafts Room, Cycle shed and amenities available in the campus including Water Connection , Electricity, Safe- Drinking Water , sufficient no. Of toilets and winals etc.

BABA BAIDYA NATH NETRA CHIKITSA SANSTHAN (EYE-HOSPITAL):-

Actually Mukti Niketan has been extending Health Assistsance to the community Since 1989. It was a small unit of health services where all sorts of primary assistances were gives and the small unit was known a “Sajivani” Allopathic , Homeopathic and Ayurvedic treatments including surgical ones were provided. Dr. Arun Kumar Singh , at present a teacher in NMCH Nalanda, Dr. P.R. Chakravorty, renowned plastic surgeon and Philanthropist from satsang Deoghar and Dr. Shyam Sunder Singh , popular Orthopadic surgeon rendered selfless voluntary services for the poor patients of the area. By and by time changed and chages came in existence in rural area too in govt. Health Services.Organizational inputs were quite insufficient and it was decided only to concentrate on Eye-Care including lens transplantation for cataract patients. The new unit is “Baba Baidyanath Netra Chikitsa Sansthan”. There is all simple arrangement of patient check-up , refraction, spectacle making, surgical operation , village awareness camp, School students eye check-up etc. Minimum instruments are available to work.

NIOS (NATIONAL INSTITUTION OF OPEN SCHOOLING):-

A unit of “Distance Education Study Centre” was accrediated to Mukti Niketan in 1999 under the Human Resources Deptt., the Govt. Of India. A Seperate unit with workable amenities , class rooms , stayal facilities and official set-up is available here including technical labs. Drop- out from schools including +2 units appearal exams for Matric and Intermidiate Degree and Succeed.

GUEST HOUSE:-

A six room guest house with attached toilets , furnished with beds, electricity and conferencing space and water connection is available in the campus.

COMMUNITY , KITCHEN AND DINING SPACE:-

There have been two community kitchen and connected sining space.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENTS:-

A 7.5 KVA generator set 18 H.P. power kiter , all kinds of agricultural tools, pumpsets, water connection pipes, power point projector, Duplicating Machine, Internet Copnnectivity etc. Are available.

LAND ,FARMING AND DAIRY:-

Paddy, Wheat and potato are grown in abundance , vegitables are eulfivated for the whole year. A small dairy with 10 cattle has been here. Ornganic furtilizer prepared here are used for crops.

ORCHARD AND GREENARY :-

The whole campus is widely covered with Mango, Coconut ,Date, palan, Bel, Jamun , Kathal, Seshaw, Sagban, Kadam , Neem and other trees including permanent and seasonal flowers.

Attempts are being approached to make the place an Educational Social Hub.

FIELD OF EXPERIENCES :-

1 Providing Irrigation in the hilly area through lift technology with under ground pvc pressure pipe attached to diesel driven pumpsets. 2 Water Managemen 3 Promoting Girl-Child Education in Rural Areas.
